Unipet is bringing a new concept in wild bird feeding to the UK market with the introduction of a fresh calciworm product.
Developed in partnership with insect nutrition specialist HiProMine, Fresh Flight offers a new way to feed calciworms (black soldier fly larvae) to wild birds. Presented in a convenient foil pouch and supplied in an ambient fresh format, the new concept generated significant interest from retailers and industry professionals at its launch at the recent PATS trade show, the company reported.
Andrew Ball, managing director of Unipet International, said: “The response to Fresh Flight at PATS was fantastic, and we were delighted with the level of interest from the trade.
“We believe Fresh Flight offers a new way of feeding calciworms and brings something genuinely different to the wild bird food market. Combining HiProMine’s expertise in insect nutrition with Unipet’s more than 30 years of experience in wild bird food has enabled us to create a really exciting new concept.
“PATS was the perfect opportunity to introduce Fresh Flight to the trade, and we are now looking forward to building on the momentum and bringing the product to market.”
