Shelf-ready packs for recycled plastic bedding brand

SoulPet has launched retail-friendly packaging for its range of vet bedding made from recycled plastic bottles.

The company has been selling rolls or bespoke cuts of the product to breeders, kennels and consumers from its website for nearly a decade, as well as supplying it to a selection of retailers close to the company’s Wiltshire base.

The bedding, which is soft, durable, and machine-washable and suitable for dogs, cats, and small animals, is now available in a retail friendly pre-packaged format. In trials with existing stockists, the retail-ready packs outsold the previous loose rolls by 300%.

Retailers can order single packs, with trade discounts built-in to create a margin. The bedding comes in a variety of colours and designs, and is available with traditional backing or as a non-slip product. Display equipment is also available for retailers.

David King, owner and founder of SoulPet, said: “Choosing UK manufactured products like ours, helps pet owners significantly reduce their carbon footprint by cutting transport emissions and supporting sustainable practices. Our vet bedding is eco-friendly, practical, cut-to-size, and durable – ideal for both homes and professional settings.

“Retailers, breeders and kennels face growing pressure from eco-conscious consumers to reduce their environmental impact, which is now a key factor in purchasing decisions. We’ve championed this ethical approach for years, and it’s clear it matters more now than ever before.

“Responsible pet ownership goes beyond animal welfare—it’s about making choices that benefit the planet. By opting for sustainable products, we can collectively reduce the pet care industry’s environmental footprint. At SoulPet, we’re proud that our vet bedding reflects that commitment, and we want to help retailers and consumers to do the same.”
