Pet care businesses large and small were celebrating last night (November 17) as the winners of the Pet Industry Federation (PIF) Awards 2022 were revealed.

Winners in more that 20 categories took to the stage to receive sustainable, wooden trophies at the gala black tie ceremony held at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire.

Retail winners included Just for Pets (Retail Chain of the Year) and Brown’s Natural Pet Store, Goring-on-Sea (Independent Retailer), while Su-Bridge Pet Supplies picked up the accolade for Wholesaler of the Year. A full list of award winners appears below.

Backed by headline sponsors Cliverton, Collar, Naturo Pet Foods and Tuft, plus strategic partner DHL Supply Chain, drinks sponsor Pedigree Wholesale and 20 category sponsors including PBW News, the awards are judged by a panel of industry experts who are looking for businesses that have delivered over and above despite the difficulties of the past 12 months.

PIF has a membership of more than 2,000 organisations across the sector. From small and micro businesses through to large multinationals, PIF members work across all areas of the pet industry and uphold a 10-point charter.

PIF ceo Nigel Baker said: “The PIF Awards just get bigger and better each year; the standard and volume of entries was phenomenal this year and we sold out of tickets to the Awards dinner over a month before the event so we can see how much winning a PIF Award means to businesses in the pet industry.

“It is truly inspirational to see the diversity and sheer hard work within our industry and at PIF we are honoured to be able to reward this with the PIF Awards. Look out for next year’s event for which we’re planning something extra special!”

The 2023 PIF Awards will celebrate PIF’s 75th anniversary and will take place on Thursday 16th November 2023, with entries opening after Easter.
