Trade association PetQuip has launched its 2025 awards, which this year will move from Telford to Birmingham in line with the relocation of the PATS trade show.
The 2025 awards features 16 categories covering product, retailers, suppliers, marketing, sustainability and individual achievement.
The PetQuip Awards will take place on Monday September 29 at the National Conference Centre, close to the NEC. Judging will take place at Birmingham Dogs’ Home in nearby Solihull, with all sample product submitted for judging donated direct to the dogs’ home afterwards.
Marketing communications consultancy Leopard returns as headline sponsors of the awards, alongside Law Print and Packaging, CIPS, Interzoo, Petface, Copdock Mill, Pedigree Wholesale, Noble Futures, Zoomark, and PBW News. The awards are organised in association with PATS, which is sponsoring the international retailer award.
Awards organiser Susan Fairley said: “We are delighted to launch the 2025 PetQuip Awards in an exciting new venue, which gives us the opportunity to introduce more glitz and entertainment for the evening, so it’s not just a prestigious celebration, but also a place for the pet industry to party!
“Mindful that the number of awards needs to be kept tight so we can keep the evening moving, we have introduced only one new category, online retailer of the year, which we felt was important to include as there are so many online businesses out there who need a specific platform.”
PetQuip director general Joe Denham added: “We would like to issue a clarion call to all companies in the pet industry to put themselves forward for our awards.
“The profile our finalists and winners receive as a result of our marketing campaign across the PetQuip and PATS communities is superb, for companies of all types and size. We look forward to seeing and celebrating innovation and excellence from across the pet trade.”
The closing date for entries is Thursday June 26. For more information visit the website.
