D-D THE Aquarium Solution has acquired the manufacturing and distribution of Evolution Aqua’s Aquarium range of products. These include the eaReef Pro, Aquascaper and eaFreshwater aquarium models.
Evolution Aqua is a multi award-winning manufacturer known as one of the most innovative brands in aquatics. D-D The Aquarium Solution is one of the most respected distributers and developers of specialist equipment for marine and reef aquariums, with a global market share.
Evolution Aqua sales director Phil Jolly said: “This opportunity has come at the perfect moment for both Evolution Aqua and D-D.
“The technical team at Evolution Aqua continues to develop new innovative products that have opened up new markets around the world, growing our business dramatically.
“This move will release a significant building at our Wigan site providing the increased production capacity required to facilitate a programme of rapid expansion in the pond and swimming pool sectors. This includes a number of exciting new products that we are bringing to market in 2021.”
For D-D, the purchase provides another route into the freshwater marketplace and allows the addition of significant volume to the current aquarium production programme for their range of Reef-Pro marine aquariums, sales of which are seeing substantial growth month on month.
D-D has the necessary technical know-how to take on and further develop these aquariums and will begin distribution in January 2021. In the interim period, Evolution Aqua will continue to supply aquariums through the existing dealer network.
