A fledgling jackdaw had a lucky escape after getting its leg stuck in guttering on a house roof.
The RSPCA and the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service teamed up and were able to reach the jackdaw with a ladder, safely remove it from the gutter and then confine it to a box.
Inspector Simon Evans said: “Thankfully, the jackdaw fledgling could be returned to the wild – an event met by a cacophony of noise from 20 or so other jackdaws.”
