Manufacturer Inspired Pet Nutrition has opened a new head office and distribution centre in Yorkshire.
The centre in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, is part of a £6m investment programme to drive long-term growth at the company. The new head office spans nearly 1,000 sq m and features optimised team zones and hybrid-ready technology designed to enhance colleague wellbeing and productivity. The new distribution centre is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, adds the company.
The firm was taken over by international investment firm CapVest in 2020 and has since acquired Pet Food UK and Butcher’s Pet Care in the UK, plus Sopral and Ultra Premium Direct in France. This growth has seen the company scale from 450 to over 1,600 colleagues, operating across five manufacturing sites and offices in the UK, France, Poland, and Spain, with total revenues now exceeding £500 million. The portfolio of brands includes Harringtons, Butcher’s, Wagg, Barking Heads, AATU, Ultra Premium Direct and Pro-Nutrition.
Chief executive Arthur Van Benthem said: “Today marks a proud and symbolic moment for everyone at INSPIRED. Our newly designed Head Office and Distribution Centre are not just investments in infrastructure – these are investments in our people, our brands, and our future. These developments reflect our commitment to our purpose to create happiness.”
Chief operating officer Anthony Stones added: “This facility significantly enhances our supply chain resilience and capacity, enabling us to meet growing demand both in the UK and internationally. It’s a bold investment in our infrastructure and a testament to our commitment to delivering excellence at scale.”
