Company of Animals has introduced three new colours to the Baskerville Ultra Muzzle range in a move designed to break down the barriers and stigma associated with the traditional black muzzle.
The green, blue and pink colourways are available in sizes 3, 4 and 5, the range’s best-selling sizes, and all the new lines contain the same features as standard black Ultra muzzles, namely a lightweight TPR basket that lets dogs pant, drink and take treats; a patented metal-free headstrap; padded straps; a lockable neck clip; and mouldability in warm water for a custom fit.
The company explains that research shows that dog owners avoid muzzle training not because they distrust the product, but because they fear how other people will react, as a traditional looking muzzle, on a dog of any temperament, is often regarded negatively.
A spokesperson for Company of Animals said: “We haven’t changed the Ultra Muzzle, we’ve given dog owners three new ways to break the stigma around it. Colour turns a muzzle into something a dog owner is happy to be seen with, and that’s how attitudes shift.”
