Henry Bell & Co has created a new retail display at a Leicestershire garden centre to showcase its range of wild bird care products.
To create the new display at Gates Garden Centre in Cold Overton, Oakham, Leicestershire, Henry Bell national sales manager Andrew Mellowes and agent Dominic Wright worked with the store team to address customer flow, increase shelf space for seed mixes – including two of Gates’ own labels – and provide promotional areas.
Mellowes said: “Good merchandising doesn’t just happen by chance – every element has to be carefully planned and considered.
“Using our expertise in this field, we have successfully created an enhanced consumer shopping experience by generating a category journey in which no product lines are missed. This allows customers to make more informed purchasing decisions and helps to drive up basket spend and grow sales.”
Gates senior manager Natalie Gregg added: “We are thrilled with the new merchandising, which has brought a real breath of fresh air to our wild bird sales area.
“Andrew and Dominic together with our in-house team, have done an absolutely fabulous job and we’re really looking forward to moving into one of our busiest times of the year with clear and attractive displays that support our work and set tills ringing.”
A similar programme of improvements will be carried out at Gates’ second centre, Woodlands Hinckley, Leicestershire, in the coming weeks.
