Premium pet food brand Carnilove has created a summer campaign identifying dog-friendly beaches around the UK.
Data from Google Maps and Reviews and Instagram Places has been consolidated into a list of popular beaches for different breeds of dog, and is available to search on a dedicated website, Carnilove on the Beach. In total, 100 breeds are listed along with 50 dog-friendly beaches, and the site can provide a list of the top five UK locations for each breed.
The data reveals that Labradors favour Edinburgh’s Portobello Beach, Camber Sands in East Sussex is popular with Jack Russells, Cocker Spaniels converge on Fraisthorpe Beach in Yorkshire while Silver Sands, near Lossiemouth in Scotland, is the choice for cockapoos.
Colin Rodger, director at UK distributor BSB Products, said: “A day at the beach is great for humans and dogs, but with so many beautiful beaches in the UK, and it can be hard to choose where to go.
“Carnilove On The Beach helps canines and their companions find their pack on dog friendly beaches. With a chance to run free across the sand, dig for treasure and splash in the sea we’re hoping more dogs will venture out and build up an appetite for a nourishing Carnilove dinner.”
