Burgess Pet Care has expanded its Excel range with two new premium feeding hay lines.

Excel Long Stem Feeding Hay with Marigold (1kg) and Excel Hedgerow Herbs Feeding Hay (2.7kg) have both been developed by a team of vets and nutritionists and are dust-extracted to support respiratory health.

Long Stem Feeding Hay with Marigold (RRP: £9.49) is an extension of the existing Long Stem line enhanced with the addition of marigold to encourage foraging behaviour in rabbits.

The Excel Hedgerow Herbs Feeding Hay 2.7kg (RRP £17.50) is designed to fill the gap between 1kg and 3kg+ sizes, and features hedgerow herbs including chamomile, dandelion, nettle, and mallow flower.

Suzanne Moyes, deputy managing director and in-house vet at Burgess Pet Care, said: “For animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, hay should make up about 85–90% of their daily diet. These two new products respond directly to customer feedback, offering a larger size for convenience and the added botanical enrichment of marigold and hedgerow herbs, all while maintaining the premium quality Excel is known for.”
