The upcoming INDX Homewares show will feature a dedicated pet products section for the first time.

Curated by buying group Associated Independent Stores (AIS), INDX Homewares will feature exhibitors from a variety of pet-related goods, including beds, accessories, toys, walking equipment, bowls, treats and grooming, for the show, which takes place at Cranmore Park, Solihull, West Midlands, on February 21-22.

A number of pet care brands have already confirmed their attendance, including Rosewood, Danish Design, Happy Pet, Long Paws, TresPaws, GorPets, Twiggy Tags, Leisure Grow (Pet Face), Pet Remedy, Scruffs and Henry Wag. The show will also include a daily ‘Dog Walk’ to showcase products with goodie bags for participants, a ‘Pose with the Pooch’ photo activity, and supplier giveaways.

Rachel Breen, head of homewares at AIS, said: “As the UK’s leading buying group, we have kept our finger on the pulse of consumer trends over the past few years. This includes a significant increase in the number of households owning a pet, which in turn presents an opportunity for independent retailers.

“For this reason, we will be introducing a new dedicated pet section at our February homewares show, in order to help cater for and support all independent retailers looking to seize this opportunity, whether old or new.”

She added: “We are thrilled to invite both brands and buyers alike to experience our new dedicated pet category at INDX Homewares. No effort has been spared in the creation of the UK’s most focused buying environment for independent pet retailers, and we look forward to seeing what new relationships and business opportunities will be born out of the show.”

All INDX visitor registrations are vetted to ensure only buyers attend. The shows are free to attend, with free onsite parking plus complimentary coffee and refreshments.
