The Nutriment Company (TNC) has made a further European purchase through the acquisition of premium dog and cat food supplier Frostfutter Perleberg.
The company, based in Perleberg in northern Germany, specialises in species-appropriate (BARF) feeding, sourcing human-grade meat from farms in the region. The organisation operates its own slaughterhouse on site and produces a fresh batch of food daily.
Originally founded in 2004 as K&K Petfood GmbH, the company created the Frostfutter Perleberg brand name in 2012. In addition to fresh meat recipes, it also supplies a range of premium wet food, snacks and supplements.
Frostfutter Perleberg employs more than 100 people and operates an online shop for customers.
In a statement posted online, TNC said: “Regional sourcing. Transparent production. A genuine passion for species-appropriate nutrition. That’s been Frostfutter Perleberg’s DNA from day one, and it’s ours too. This acquisition brings us closer to even more pet owners in Germany who care deeply about what goes into their pets’ bowls.”
