Sainsbury’s has rolled out a trial of Pet Hubs in 20 of its supermarkets.
And the supermarket chain said if the trials were successful, it would be extending the rollout to more stores and online.
The hubs, launched just before Christmas, offer an extended range of pet food, accessories and specialist health and hygiene brands in a supermarket setting. More than 100 new lines have been added including Petface, Frontline and Lintbells.
One of the trial stores will also feature an Argos Pay@Browse station, offering pet owners a way to browse and buy Argos’ range of products, from smart pet tech to cat flaps, carriers and crates.
