Pets at Home has opened a new 10,500sq ft pet care centre in Manchester.
The new store, at Manchester Fort Shopping Centre, Cheetham Hill, features a Nutrition Hub with fridge and freezer space for fresh and raw food recipes, a pick-and-mix treat bar and a designated consultation area; a small animal pet village and aquatic zone; and a Health Centre dispensing licensed medications and free pet weighing scales.
A purpose-built in-store Vets for Pets veterinary practice will open on the mezzanine floor during the summer. Overall, Pets at Home has invested over £928k into the new centre.
Store manager Stacey Revilles led the opening ceremony this morning (March 7), with the first 500 customers through the door given a goody bag. A launch promotion will see 10 ‘Golden Bones’ hidden within the store, with the finder of each receiving a £50 Pets at Home gift voucher. Free workshops teaching customers how to care for wild birds and fish will take place on Saturday and Sunday during the launch weekend.
Revilles said: “We’re incredibly excited to open the Pet Care Centre right here at Manchester Fort Shopping Park. This isn’t just a store – it’s a haven for pet lovers and their furry friends. With a range of top-tier services, and a shopping experience like no other, we’ve created a space that truly celebrates the joy of pet ownership.
“We can’t wait to welcome customers to explore, connect, and see how we’re raising the bar for pet care. Whether you’re here for your dog’s next adventure, your cat’s favourite treat, or expert advice for your small animals, we’ve got everything you need to keep tails wagging, whiskers twitching and hearts full!”
