Chepstow Pet Supplies and Paws Pets Grooming Salon, in Monmouth, has been named as a regional finalist in the 2019 Small Business Big Heart Awards in association with BusinessesForSale.com
This has been the most hotly-contested year in the life of the Small Business Big Heart Awards.
The judges chose the Chepstow pet shop and grooming business for the many ways it promotes good causes for animals in the communities it serves through hosting its own events and supporting the activities of like-minded organisations.
Rufus Bazley, director of Marketing at BusinessesForSale.com, said: “This family business stands out among our Welsh entries by practising what it preaches to help animal lovers care for their own pets and provide for those that have been neglected. I’d like to congratulate all the staff and wish them every success in the next and final round of judging.”
Nina Gray, who founded the business seven years ago, added: “It is an honour to be recognised as a regional finalist and for all the team to get recognition for their hard work. My dog, Alfie, was one of the reasons I decided to do what I do; he came from an animal charity, so we like to give back to thank them for all the great work they do.”
If Chepstow Pet Supplies and Paws Pets Grooming Salon goes on to win the Small Business Big Heart Awards Gold prize it will receive £1,000 to donate to a good cause of its choice.
Chepstow Pet Supplies and Paws Pets Grooming Salon is the sole Small Business Big Heart Regional Finalist from Wales. In total there are 18 regional finalists across the country.
The overall winner will be announced on September 15.
