Pet care brand Webbox has been named as the Official Pet Sponsor for Blackburn Rovers FC.

The brand, owned by Blackburn-based parent company Pets Choice, will take part in a variety of team, match and community-focused activity alongside the football club during this partnership. Pets Choice is one of the largest businesses in Blackburn and a big employer in the region with a 140,000 sq ft warehouse, and a key element of the activity will be engaging with residents in the town, which includes many of the company’s team members and customers.

Other highlights will include providing a branded kennel for the team mascot, Rover the Dog, who will carry the Webbox logo on his customised kit, plus Blackburn Rovers official merchandise giveaways and match day ‘takeovers’.

Webbox’s sponsorship officially kicked off at the start of the current season and will continue until the final Championship game.

Tony Raeburn, ceo of Pets Choice, said: “Webbox is proud to become the Official Pet Sponsor of Blackburn Rovers for this coming Championship season. One of the leading pet brands within the Pets Choice family, its products are produced and distributed from our head office, located in the heart of Blackburn.

“Pets Choice is a leading manufacturer with a 140-year heritage, providing pets all over the world with great value, tasty treats, food, and accessories that they can’t wait to get their paw, wings or fins on.

“Partnering with Blackburn Rovers, our local team and one of the most famous football clubs in England, will provide a great opportunity to showcase the variety and quality of our products and brands, and build engagement and awareness among our team members and their local communities.”
