Pet food brand on course to hit crowdfunding target

A sustainable pet food company is well on course to hit its £560,000 crowdfunding target to fund future growth in the business.

Percuro, which describes itself as the ‘next-generation pet food’, launched its campaign on crowdfunding platform Seedrs.

A total of 222 investors have to date pledged £540,276 with the campaign set to run until June 20.

Percuro will use the funding to support digital marketing, investments to build the brand, develop a new range and to expand into Asia.

“Percuro is clean food-obsessed. Our brand is ethical in its ingredients within the bag and through its supply chain,” the company said on its crowdfunding page.

“We want to make a difference in the lives of pets without collateral damage to the planet and being responsible to our customers. The formulation of our complete insect pet food for the body and mind has a low carbon pawprint, whilst being hypoallergenic and nutritious with low inflammation properties.”
