Aquatic supplier PondXpert has unveiled a suite of new products, including an all-in-one pump, filter and solar-powered ultraviolet clarifier (UVC), and a continuous-action vacuum.
The PondXpert SolarShower TripleAction combines solar UVC, pump and filtration technology to keep small ponds clean and healthy without the need for any mains electric wiring outdoors.
Solar energy will power the 5w UVC for two hours per day and the pump for four hours per day, with the timer and onboard memory ensuring this same start time every day. Filter foams, media and gravel are all included.
Two models are available – the 1600 with a 850l/ph pump (SSP £199.99) and the 800, with a 450l/ph pump (£149.99).
A standalone solar-powered UVC unit is also available (SSP £79.99), although the product needs to be paired with a pump in order to push the water past the bulb.
In addition, the company has also introduced a new pond vacuum that offers continuous suction.
The PondXpert PondMaster Non-Stop Vac (SSP £249.99) includes a powerful sludge pump located inside the chamber on the floor of the unit, meaning that dirty sludge is sucked into the unit then propelled out of the back of the unit via the discharge hose. As a result, the vacuum can be positioned below the height of the outlet pipe and there is no need to stop cleaning while the vacuum chamber empties.
At £249.99, the vacuum is around half the price of anything else on the market with similar features, according to PondXpert.
