Dutch premium pet-food supplier HenArt has launched a new dry dog food brand built around a blend of fermented proteins.
Designed for adult and senior dogs, Levendo is gently baked rather than extruded and includes mycoprotein containing essential amino acids and naturally occurring beta-glucans.
The mycoprotein, sourced from Finnish biotech company Enifer under its Pekilo brand, is designed to be highly digestible and contains natural nutrients including B vitamins and spermidine. HenArt developed the proprietary fermentation blend and the recipe in-house, with production handled by established European manufacturers.
Levendo is now available to retailers and distribution partners across the EU and UK, and is the first in a planned range, with wet food products already in development.
