The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) is inviting UK pet businesses to join a supported industry delegation to the China International Pet Show (CIPS), taking place in Guangzhou on November 12-15.
The delegation is designed for brands interested in entering or understanding the Chinese pet market, as well as retailers, buyers and distributors looking to source products, identify suppliers and explore emerging trends. CIPS brings together pet product manufacturers, brand owners, suppliers, retailers, distributors and industry professionals from across China and international markets, and covers pet food, accessories, health and care, technology, aquatics, reptiles, birds, small animals and supporting services.
Support available through the PIF delegation includes VIP registration and badge co-ordination; tailored exhibition routes based on individual business priorities; pre-arranged B2B meetings with relevant exhibitors and potential partners; opportunities to participate in retail and factory visits; dedicated transport for official visits organised by CIPS and the ability to raise market-access and regulatory questions in advance.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend the CIPS International Pet Industry Convention (CIPIC) on November 11, with the programme providing wider insight into the Chinese pet market, international trade, regulation, sustainability, product development and innovation.
PIF chief executive Nigel Baker said: “China is an important and rapidly evolving pet market, but it can understandably feel difficult to approach without the right knowledge or contacts. This delegation will give UK businesses a supported way to explore the opportunity, whether they are looking to source products, identify commercial partners, understand consumer and category trends or assess China as a potential export market.
“We are also considering the potential for a UK pavilion at CIPS in 2027. Joining the 2026 delegation offers businesses an excellent opportunity to understand the show and the wider market before deciding whether a more formal presence in China could be right for them.”
