Retailer Pets at Home has announced plans to open four new retail and veterinary locations this month.
Launching this Friday (March 13), Pets at Home in Kew, South West London, will be a new 9,911 sq ft store including a pet village, aquatics centre, and specialist support centre, while on the same day in Glossop, Derbyshire, the retailer will launch a relocated and expanded 7,663 sq ft branch offering veterinary care, 24‑hour emergency support, an aquatics centre and an adoption centre.
Later in the month, the group will also open two new Vets for Pets practices in Stocksbridge, South Yorkshire, and Giltbrook, Nottinghamshire.
The new sites add more than 20,000 sq ft of new veterinary and pet care retail space to the group and follows an investment of more than £3 million.
Chief operating officer Anja Madsen said: “Continued investment in our physical estate is central to our retail strategy and to strengthening our wider pet care ecosystem. By modernising our stores and expanding into new locations, we are enhancing the in-person experience that so many of our customers value, from tailored advice to convenient, integrated services.
“These new openings reflect our commitment to building a contemporary, future ready estate that supports pets and their owners however they choose to shop.”
Pets at Home operates more than 450 stores.
