A UK company producing packaging for the pet care industry has been working with a Canadian business to create a specially designed bag for its cat litter brand.

Law Print & Packaging Management was approached by Noba Animal Co to help it with the packaging of two new lines of cat litter.

As it was the brand’s first ever flat bottom bag, thorough product testing was provided by Law Print to ensure the packaging was up to standard and met all requirements.

Law Print’s sales manager Luke Cummins said: “This was one of the most exciting designs we had the pleasure of producing. Not only was the Noba team great to work with, they were enthusiastic. This could be a sign of great things to come from Canada.”

Given the complexity of the designs and range of colours used, Law Print also offered guidance on the artwork and introduced a side gusset handle to the bag..

“The handle gives the packaging an innovative edge and advantage over competitors’ products and makes the 12kg cat litter easy to carry and pour,” said Luke.

Noba Animal Co wanted the cat litter to stand out on the shelf as a high-end product, and marketing manager Jean-Martin Verrault said: “The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Cat litter is far from exciting, but we aimed to change that with this packaging.”
