Visitors to the PATS 2026 trade exhibition were up 8% on last year, the organisers report.

A total of 6,505 pet retailers, buyers and industry professionals attended the three-day event at NEC Birmingham, compared with 6,021 in 2025. More than 600 brands showcased a record number of new products across Halls 3 and 3A, occupying 20% more floorspace than last year.

New initiatives included the International Pavilion and Hosted Buyers Programme , which welcomed senior buyers from international companies including Fressnapf in Germany, Chewy in the US and Pet’s Delight in Dubai.

Other new features included Animal Encounters, Aquascaping and an expanded Grooming Zone programme. The show was officially opened by television presenter and farmer Jimmy Doherty.

PATS 2027 will return to the NEC Birmingham on September 21-23, 2027.
