Burgess Pet Care has been awarded International Business of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Business Awards 2025, in recognition of its strategic global growth.
The family business has seen strong international demand for its nutrition ranges and has grown export sales in the past 12 months. The company was also named Leading Small Animal and Reptile Brand at PetFair Asia earlier this year.
Deputy managing director Suzanne Moyes said: “We’re proud to be flying the flag for Yorkshire pet food and to see our values resonate with customers around the world. This award is recognition of our long-term vision and the people behind it, from our team in Yorkshire to our international partners.”
International marketing executive Kerry-Ann Wessells added: “This award is a huge honour and a testament to the team’s hard work and passion. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our approach recognised, not only in how we grow as a business, but in how we support pet welfare around the world.”
