Organisers of this year’s China International Pet Show (CIPS) are reporting a 30% year-on-year increase in registrations from pet care professionals across the world.
More than 30,000 buyers, distributors and other professional attendees have registered for the exhibition, from more than 120 international markets including representatives from European chains, aquatics specialists, and US mass retail. The trade show takes place in the city of Guangzhou, on November 13-16.
New for this year is an enhanced B2B matchmaking system, whereby buyers and exhibitors can pre-select one another online, and meet in 25-minute sessions on site.
CIPS 2025 will host over 1,200 exhibitors in total, covering cats and dogs, aquatics, reptiles, small pets, exotics, and birds categories. At the show, the CIPS Innovation Award will recognise products for originality, technical merit and commercial potential, while firms focusing on sustainable solutions will be highlighted as “Green Pioneers”.
The event will also host the CIPS International Pet Industry Convention (CIPIC), running across two days and exploring how private-label partnerships are evolving and how retailers are adapting to changing consumer behaviour, as well as sustainability and corporate responsibility.
The 2nd Aquatic Industry Convention, organised in partnership with Ornamental Fish International (OFI), will also add a focused category lens. The convention programme covers regulatory shifts in Europe and North America, fast-growing markets such as Vietnam, Brazil, and India, and the sustainability challenges unique to aquatics.
