South East Europe retailer Pet Network International has appointed Matti Salmi to the group’s management board as chief procurement officer.
Salmi, who joins from Scandinavian pet retailer Musti Group, takes responsibility for group purchasing and assortment development across all Pet Network International operating countries, including Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.
Pet Network integrates leading pet retailers from across South-East Europe and has more than 140 shop locations, plus localised online stores offering same-day delivery and click & collect services. Veterinary clinics and pharmacies are located within selected Pet Network stores, providing access to more than 100 vets.
Group chief executive Timo Tervo said: “Pet Network International is in an interesting growth phase as we expand our retail networks in all markets and reinforce our market-leading position. Mr. Salmi is an industry professional with demonstrated successful track record and we are excited to have him join our Group’s leadership.”
