Burgess Pet Care has expanded its selection of small animal treats with three new lines under the Country Value banner focused on delivering health benefits at an affordable price point.
Fun Hamster Crunch is a single component product made with peas designed to prevent selective feeding, as well as including linseed to promote a glossy coat. The product is also suitable for gerbils and mice.
Also launching are Nourishing Nibbles – baked treats for rabbits and guinea pigs that come in carrot & pea and banana & apple flavours. Both are high in fibre and have high levels of grass to support sensitive digestive systems.
Nicole Fallon, marketing manager at Burgess Pet Care, said: “We are extending our Country Values range with these excellent new products to give shoppers in this challenging financial climate more choice and opportunity to feed their animals healthier snacks.
“We want to encourage owners to move away from muesli-style diets that have been shown to increase the risk of serious health conditions.”
To support the extended range, a new Country Values website is set to go live on August 16. The new site will provide pet owners with information on how best to care for their animals.
