Logan’s Natural Treats has restocked its Pumpkin Powder product after its initial offering sold out within hours of launch.
The organic powder is made from a single ingredient – human grade pumpkin which has been air dried and ground into a fine powder. Because the air drying process removes moisture the product retains a long shelf life of up to 12 months.
The powder can be mixed into a dog’s wet or dry food as a daily supplement, sprinkled as a garnish on top of food, or made into a nutritious puree by adding water, which can be given directly or frozen into snack-sized treats.
Logan’s Natural Treats was founded by Liam Logan and his wife Jenna with the help of their dog Oscar.
Liam Logan said: “We are a natural treat business for dogs and have spent months putting together a dog supplement for dogs which is considered “super food” due to its extensive health benefits.
“Pumpkin powder is considered super food by vets and other canine professionals. It can help all dogs with digestive issues like constipation, diarrhoea and ‘scooting’ – this is due to pumpkin being naturally packed with rich dense soluble fibre. It is also rich in vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants and probiotics all of which support heathy gut.
“Our pumpkin powder is designed for puppies who are fussy eaters, dogs who maybe have an upset stomach and dog owners who may want to ensure their dogs are getting the best possible enrichment. It is our first – hopefully of many – doggy supplements.”
