Convenient treat dispensing system The Squeezy Reward from My Anxious Dog has been awarded Recommended Product status from The Dog Trainer School (TDTS).
The product, which comprises a squeezy tube attached to a retractable reel, earned a score of 92% after being tested by a panel of more than 30 dog professionals under the scheme, which highlights products considered to be genuinely useful. The product was praised for its ease of use, hygienic design, and effectiveness in promoting calm, controlled behaviour, especially in high-stress moments.
The Squeezy Reward came about as Sarah Jones, founder of My Anxious Dog, wanted a better way to reward and distract Bella, her nervous Cocker Spaniel who inspired the brand.
Originally using Primula Cheese in its tube, Sarah found herself constantly fumbling to get it out of her pocket and then getting the lid off, so she added a retractable reel and lanyard to make it quick and easy to deploy.
She said: “You want the reward quickly, so all you need to do is flip the lid open and you can reward and distract in seconds. Because I use it for Bella, I know it’s really good. We tried it with the dogs at the dog shows and festivals and they didn’t take long to recognise that there’s something good in that little device. We’ve had lots of happy customers, and to have the approval of the Dog Trainer School is amazing.”
