Dog beer firm adds luxury snacks

Award-winning pet drinks company Woof &Brew has teamed up with luxury treat manufacturers ByBenji to launch the ‘ulti-mutt’ meat treat for dogs.

Crafted in the UK from premium cuts of beef, air-cured and infused with Woof &Brew’s ‘Bottom Sniffer’ Beer For Dogs and ‘Posh Pooch’ Wine For Dogs, it puts human pub-style snacks to shame, the company says.

Both the bites and the brews are made with 100% natural herbs and human-grade ingredients, providing substance as well as style – and proved 100% successful in taste tests to date.
Woof &Brew’s Steve Bennett said: “We’ve tried several different infused treats in the past, but nothing compares to the taste results of these infused ‘Steak Bites’. ByBenji shares a similar ethos to us, where natural quality, nutritional benefits and palatability is key. We want to produce products that look good, do good – and of course taste good!”

ByBenji’s Richard Blank said: “We are thrilled to be working with Woof &Brew on this product collaboration and are excited to see the response from both consumers and the trade. We have always put the quality of our ingredients and curing process ahead of all else. In these products we seem to have found a perfect product combination.”

Launching to the trade and direct to consumer, the range will initially consist of two products; a ‘Love At First Bite’ infused with Woof &Brew’s ‘Tailwagger Creek’ and ‘Proper Meaty Steak Bites’ infused with Woof &Brew’s Bottom Sniffer Beer For Dogs.

This is not the first collaboration for Woof &Brew in recent times, as last month saw the firm collaborate on a ‘International Dog Day’ limited edition tea pack with PG Tips (Unilever), with all profits going to the charity Support Dogs. These ‘tea for two’ packs sold out within two days and both companies were delighted with the response.

Steve Bennett also noted: “It was a huge compliment for us to be asked to work with such an established, ‘nations-favourite’ brand as PG Tips. When we launched the world’s first doggy herbal teabag almost nine years ago we dreamt of partnering with human brands like this, and not only has it come true…it was a massive success.”

WOOF&BREW will be exhibiting at the upcoming PATS Telford trade show (26-27 September) on stand B70.
