Hundreds of visitors logged on to the UK’s first virtual pet trade show – Virtual Petindex –  yesterday and browsed more than 60 stands from the UK and overseas.

Each stand received more than 100 different visitors during the course of the day to learn more about the companies and download documents, organiser the Pet Industry Federation said.

In addition the ‘auditorium’ was packed with webinars taking place throughout the day on a range of topics.

“Exhibitors will receive statistics about interest in their individual stand at the end of the event – something which is quite different to a traditional trade show,” a spokesman said.

Today is the final day of the show – sponsored by eBay UK.

Webinars today include:
* Dr Caroline Johnson – The Three Must Dos for your Pet Business
* Panel Discussion, the Rural Policy Group – The Business of Pets in a Post-Covid World
* Dr Sam Gaines, RSPCA – How Science has Helped us Understand the World of Dogs
* Bob Phibbs, The Retail Doctor –  Building Trust Post Covid-19
* Joe Watson, MD Petland – America’s Changing Pet Retail.

To join the discussions, networking opportunities and attend the show, visitors need to register at vpetindex.vfairs.com
