The Petindex trade show, to be held in April, will offer ‘a fresh take on the traditional industry trade show and provide an innovative range of features to encourage visitors from the full spectrum of the pet industry to engage with exhibitors’, says the Pet Industry Federation (PIF).

Forty seminars covering retail, pet grooming, animal wellness and pet services will take place over the two days (April 26-27, Sunday and Monday) in three seminar rooms. The seminars will be ‘silent seminars’, with attendees wearing headphones, so the audio quality won’t be affected by external noise.
Among the topics are pet audience market segmentation; brand protection; grooming nervous dogs; cats and stress; enrichment for dogs; trends in pet food; CBD and its uses; and what should be in your pet first-aid kit.
NOVEL FEATURES
Taking place at the Marshall Arena (Stadium MK) in Milton Keynes, visitors can expect show offers and novel features, such as a wine trail, to make their experience at the show a little different.
In addition, a Product Showcase area will display pet products put forward by exhibitors as part of the Pet Innovation Awards, and visitors can have their say by voting for the winners.
On set-up day, exhibitors will be able to obtain discounted tickets for the football match taking place in the adjacent stadium.
PIF members can look forward to fast-track access and entry to the PIF members’ lounge. There will also be meeting pods, on-site catering, free parking, and excellent road and rail access with complementary shuttle bus to the venue.
The Pet Industry Awards will be held on the Sunday, in the ballroom of the Hilton DoubleTree Milton Keynes. Entertainment will be in the form of digital illusionists and a live band, with a three-course dinner and networking opportunities.
Also on Sunday, The British Dog Grooming Championship will take place to determine the 2020 Groomer of the Year. There will also be classes taking place under European Grooming Association rules and a range of European judges will be in attendance to oversee proceedings.
Now in its 38th year, the competition attracts dozens of competitors and will be supported by grooming demonstrations from top UK and overseas groomers, including Sathit Suratphiphit, a world-renowned expert on the Asian style of dog grooming from the Starwood School of Grooming in Thailand.
Petindex offers sponsorship and trade stand opportunities. For information, email [email protected] or call 01234 273933.
