The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) has created PIF World, a new specialist company established to organise international exhibitions, delegations and market opportunities in association with PIF.
The new arm has been set up to deliver a programme of international opportunities for British pet businesses, including UK Pavilions at Zoomark 2027 and the new Spoga Dog trade show, alongside delegations and other initiatives designed to help companies explore overseas markets.
Taking place in Bologna, Italy, in May 2027, Zoomark attracts buyers, distributors and pet industry professionals from across Europe and beyond. PIF World is developing plans for an enhanced UK hub at the heart of the Zoomark pavilion, as well as a UK Pavilion at Spoga Dog 2027 in Cologne. Powered by ZZF and co-located with Spoga Horse, the new B2B event will connect UK dog-sector businesses with buyers and decision-makers from Germany and the wider European market.
PIF World is also co-ordinating a UK delegation to the China International Pet Show (CIPS) in Guangzhou in November, and is developing a collective UK presence at Global Pet Expo in Orlando, USA.
PIF chief executive Nigel Baker said: “PIF has long supported businesses across the UK pet industry and we now want to help more of them explore opportunities in international markets. PIF World has been established to provide the specialist focus needed to develop and deliver these overseas programmes, while continuing to work in close association with PIF.
“Zoomark is an important gateway not only to the Italian market, but also to buyers and distributors from across Europe and further afield. Spoga Dog provides an exciting new opportunity for British dog-sector businesses to connect with the German and wider international market. At both events, we want to create UK Pavilions that celebrate the quality, creativity and innovation found throughout the British pet industry.”
