The annual festival for parrot enthusiasts, Think Parrots, is returning in June.

The event takes place at Kempton Park Racecourse, South West London, on Sunday June 7 and will feature three masterclass sessions as well as an array of trade stands.

Animal behaviourist Isabelle Brinan, known as the Kent Parrot Lady, will be sharing how to encourage parrots to play with toys, while animal behaviour consultant Hildegard Niemann will be flying in from Germany to speak about expert strategies to manage parrot welfare.

In the third masterclass, Sophie Barnett and David Trebus will speak about nutritional enrichment and dietary diversity.

Leading retailers from the parrot world will be exhibiting at the event, along with rescues and charities.

A proportion of the money raised by ticket sales will be donated to help support various parrot charity projects, including the Scarlet Macaw project in Costa Rica, via the Parrot Society UK. Think Parrots is also supporting other charities including Parrot Awareness Week, World Parrot Trust and Birdline UK. Tickets are on sale from the Think Parrots website.
