Retailer Jollyes has launched a new rapid home delivery brand in partnership with service provider Uber Eats.
The new service, branded ‘Zoomies’, is designed to give pet owners an on-demand delivery option, and marks the first time Uber Eats has partnered with a pet food retailer.
Customers in a five-mile radius of 13 Jollyes stores are now able to order delivery of pet food, raw food and toys in as little as 30 minutes via the Uber Eats app.
The pilot project covers eight English locations ranging from Dartford in Kent to Bolton in Lancashire, plus three stores in Scotland, Cardiff in Wales and Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland. More than 2,000 items are available, with orders picked at the Jollyes store for instant home delivery via the Uber Eats service. All stores included in the pilot have a dedicated in-shop raw food store.
Jollyes’ chief executive officer Joe Wykes said: “We’re so excited to launch our trial with Uber Eats and become their first national pet partner. The new service will allow us to reach more shoppers than ever before, more quickly than we ever have.”
Katie Hunter, head of grocery & new verticals at Uber Eats UK, added: “As people increasingly turn to Uber Eats for more than just takeaway, we’re excited to be partnering with Jollyes to bring an even broader range of everyday essentials to the app.
“From pet food to toys, it’s now easier than ever for owners to get what they need for their pets, delivered at the touch of a button.”
