Retailer Jollyes has revealed a target list of more than 160 locations for potential new store openings during the next five years.
Currently operating from 120 branches, the retailer maintains that it could secure up to 25 further sites this year, with a focus on major conurbations including Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leicester, Nottingham, Manchester and areas within the M25.
Jollyes said it is seeking retail park or prominent roadside sites measuring between 3,000 and 7,000 square feet within its target list of locations in all parts of England, Scotland and South Wales. The search is being managed by Edgerley Simpson Howe in England and Wales and Savills in Scotland.
Jollyes Pets property director Warren Bester said: “We’re on a mission to make high-quality pet care accessible to all, investing in range development alongside our commitment to low prices, as we deliver great value every day.
“Wherever we open a store, we become the location of choice for pet parents in the community who value our combination of low prices and brilliant service from colleagues with real expertise in pet care. We’re looking forward to bringing that special combination to as many places as we can over the next five years.”
The retailer also confirmed the opening dates for new stores in Lincoln (May 15), Kidderminster, Worcestershire (May 29), and Yeovil, Somerset (June 19). It also plans to open a new store in Derby during early summer.
