The Collar Company has launched a new ID tag under the Waudog brand to enable owners to create an online profile for their pets and help locate them should they go missing.
Waudog Smart ID tags feature QR codes which can be used to access the Animal ID app, which is linked to an international database of companion animals. Once registered and activated, the profile keeps all the necessary information about a pet and its parent, such as contact information, photos, pedigree, pet care diary, and veterinary documents.
In addition, owners can use the software to report a pet as missing. Anyone finding the missing pet and scanning the QR passport will receive the contact details of the owner, while at the same time the pet parent receives a GPS notification with the pet’s location.
The apps are available in Android and Apple versions.
