New range of pet keepsakes launches this week

A new range of pet keepsakes and memorials commemorating and celebrating the lives of pets is launching this week.

The Oh So Precious range includes memory boxes, paw print kits, paw moulds, fur/hair bottles, plant markers and forget-me-not seeds, plus hanging and seasonal decorations. It is aimed at pet owners who wish to celebrate the lives of their pets and treasure key milestones and cherished memories as they do with other family members.

The trade-only brand is the brainchild of Helen Davies, founder of The Lovely Gift Group, which has launched a number of celebratory and memorial lines during the past seven years.

She said: “Having lost pets myself and sold many keepsakes, I know how much emotion and passion we put into our relationships with them.

“When my daughter asked for a keepsake for her best friend that I realised there was a gap in the market. The youngster had lost her cat, Tinkerbell, so we created a star with her cat’s name on it and the whole family was delighted.  Pets are part of our family, with us through good times and bad, so their loss is deeply felt by everyone.

“We also identified a need for good quality, pet-related items through our existing gift customers. We learn a lot from them and they continually highlight requirements for themselves and as thoughtful gifts for friends who have lost pets. The unity among pet owners – that need to convey an understanding and appreciation for those suffering the pain of pet loss – is very real.”

The range is making its first public appearance at the London Vet Show in London this week (November 17-18), and the products are aimed at veterinary practices and pet retailers as a new, complimentary brand to display in clinic receptions and retail spaces.

Free standing display units including shelving and euro hooks are available for retailers, as well as smaller, counter-top options measuring 35.5cm x 28cm x 20cm.

Floor units, complete with display stock, have a trade price of £904.76, while countertop versions have a trade price of £110.21.  Each trade account is given access to trade only website for placing orders to replenish stock, and discounts are available for bulk orders.

Plans are in place to expand the Oh So Precious range further in 2023 with more personalised pet keepsakes.
