Westland Horticulture’s wild bird food brand Peckish is launching its biggest ever media campaign with a £1.5m investment, including TV advertising.
The multi-platform ‘Colour In Your Garden’ campaign begins on Christmas Day and is expected to reach 25 million consumers running into Spring 2024. The campaign includes TV, video on demand, social media activations, press, and in-store executions.
The adverts are designed to celebrate the public’s love of nature, using the vivid colours of wild birds bring to contrast with grey winter months. The campaign aligns to the peak sales period, with often freezing temperatures encouraging the public to help keep birds fed.
The star product featured is Peckish Complete Seed Mix – a blend of 12 seeds enriched with Calvita pellets to provide essential nutrients that attract a wide variety of garden birds. This mix is packaged in 100% recycled paper packaging.
The campaign also aims to shine a light on the brand’s wider mission to support nature with ongoing initiatives such as the “field to beak” strategy, which strives to reduce waste and offset carbon emissions by reducing miles and focusing on sustainability.
