Trade association PetQuip has announced the finalists for this year’s PetQuip Industry Awards.
Following a record number of entries, preliminary judging has whittled down the candidates to a shortlist. Judging will be carried out by an independent panel, including industry experts and pet retailers, during August and the award winners will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday, September 25, 2022, after the first day of the PATS Telford show.
Two new categories – ‘Celebrating Green and Organic’ and the ‘Sustainability Award’ – have been introduced this year to reflect the growing trend towards ‘eco’ initiatives. The Theresa Swann Trophy for Exporter of the Year, sponsored by Group 55, will once again be presented in memory of PetQuip’s former Head of Events & Administration.
New for this year, the organisers of the Zoomark International exhibition have donated a raffle prize of a trip to Bologna in 2023, including flights and full board hospitality for two nights, enabling the lucky winner to visit the show.
Pat Flynn, Trade Association Manager of PetQuip, said: “We have received an impressive number of entries for 2022 and the quality of the finalists is so high the judges will have a difficult job in choosing the winners.”
