More than 400 new pet care products are set to be showcased at this year’s Pet & Aquatics Trade Show (PATS)
Taking place over three days in Halls 3 and 3A at NEC Birmingham on September 27-29, this year’s show features more than 500 exhibitors and a range of features, many of them new for this year.
The New Product Showcase is designed to help visitors find easily the latest and most exciting products to hit the pet trade. There is an information card beside each product, giving details such as suggested retail price and where to find the item’s exhibitor.
Products entered into the Showcase, which is sponsored by Leopard Co and supported by media partner PBW News, will be judged by a panel of independent pet retailers on the first day of the show to decide the winners of the New Product Awards across 12 categories covering food, accessories and grooming products for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles and the aquatic trade.
Barkin Bistro won a New Product Award at PATS last year with its Pancreatic Support range. Director Joanne Tohill said: “Winning the award was a fantastic moment for us. It was great recognition of the work we’re doing around natural, functional nutrition, and it really reinforced that there’s a growing demand for this type of product in the market.
“The award has definitely helped elevate the product in terms of exposure. It’s given both customers and stockists added confidence and has opened-up new conversations with retailers who may not have come across us before.”
New features for this year’s show include a Pet Industry Federation (PIF) drop-in clinic, a Hosted Buyer Programme, an International Pavilion and a ‘Coffee & Connect’ seminar and networking session.
PATS 2026 will once again be co-located with BETA International, the leading equestrian trade exhibition, taking place on September 27–28. Retailers and buyers will be able to visit both events with a single registration.
