Green Pantry, the natural nutrition brand recently acquired by the owners of Burgess Pet Care, has launched a new line of freshly-cooked dog food.
Developed in partnership with Pickles Vets, the new range features four recipes focusing on specific conditions – Digestive Care, Weight Control, Mobility & Senior and Skin & Coat Care.
The ambient products are supplied in 380g pouches with an RRP from £3.99, and in 3.04kg boxes for the trade.
A spokesperson for Pickles said: “There are some excellent options available for pet owners in the UK, but we felt there was room for something new. This range brings together functional health formulation and quality natural ingredients in a way that feels simple and accessible for everyday use.
“Each recipe reflects the conditions our team sees most often in practice, from digestive health, skin and coat, weight management, and joint support, particularly in older dogs. The result is a range built around carefully selected proteins, natural botanicals, and targeted functional inclusions, all formulated to FEDIAF guidelines.”
Burgess Pet Care’s Dr Suzanne Moyes added: “This range was achieved over an 18-month process, which is much longer than our normal NPD timelines. The complexity of our desired outcome meant it involved a lot of back and forth between our nutritionists, the veterinary team at Pickles and our ingredient and nutritional suppliers, which was then followed by more than a few rounds of product testing.”
