Fresh dog food brand Tuggs arrives in Jollyes

Fresh dog food Tuggs has become the latest subscription-based brand to move into retail with a national launch in Jollyes stores.

Founded in 2022 by Harry Bremner, all recipes in the range are developed by vet nutritionist Katie McCaul and backed by a network of independent vets. Tuggs claims a following of 10,000 UK dog owners, primarily on a subscription and home delivery model, with the use of fresh, natural ingredients and sustainable production methods cited as key elements in the offer.

Bremner said: “Seeing Tuggs on a real shelf for the first time is something that I have been looking forward to for years. But what makes this partnership special is that Jollyes genuinely shares our belief that dogs deserve fresh, properly-made food.

“They have invested in frozen capacity, have committed to growing the fresh category and have backed a small start-up like us to be part of that.”

He added: “Our subscription model is still at the heart of what we do, but we know it’s not for everyone. Consumers have long been telling us that they want to try Tuggs without that commitment – now they can. This is a huge milestone for Tuggs and we’re proud to begin our retail journey.”
