Brazilian trade association Instituto Pet Brasil (IPB) is hosting a free online event later this month to guide companies in the country on how to export more effectively.
The fifth edition of the International Pet Meeting is a free online event, running on July 15-18, and is being staged in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). The four-day programme includes sessions dedicated to small businesses, e-commerce, female entrepreneurs and specific country focuses including the lucrative Colombian market.
Brazilian pet firms recorded 29% growth in exports in 2024, reaching US$ 580.58 million, with successes in both neighbouring Latin American nations as well as territories further afield such as the United Arab Emirates.
Caio Villela, executive president of Instituto Pet Brasil, said: “Brazil is the third largest market in the world, and has unique potential in the global pet market, given the strong production of agricultural inputs, and good positioning in the international market.
“We also believe that this is a propitious moment to create connections and seek international space. And this is not only for large companies. Our mission is to prepare Brazilian companies, of all sizes, offering the regulatory knowledge and necessary strategies for a successful expansion.”
