Well Paws brand aims to shake up supplement market

A new pet wellness brand is preparing to launch a new range of supplements that even fussy or reluctant cats and dogs will be able to swallow.

Well Paws is a new brand that comes under the umbrella of Virowall, which sources and co-manufactures a number of supplement brands and products in the pet and FMCG sectors, with bases in Turkey, Holland and the Republic of Ireland. The company has spent 18 months developing a range of supplements in chew and syrup formats designed to be tasty and palatable, and using vet-approved and trial-based ingredients.

The Well Paws range consists of Skin & Coat Syrup, Bone & Joint Syrup, Calming Care Syrup and an Immune Booster Syrup, as well as a chewable range in Hip & Joint, Calming Care, Itch & Allergy Care, and a Gut Health-triple action biotic (pre, pro & post) varieties.

Infused with fish flavours, the supplements also contain ingredients such as collagen and D3 for improved joint health and coat lustre, along with vitamin C, magnesium-infused ZinPro Propath to reduce anxiety, and healthy gut bacteria.

The syrups come in 300ml bottles, enough for a month or more for an average sized dog, with an RRP of £19.99 and can be added to food, to water or served directly. The chews are supplied in 180g recyclable pouches, RRP £24.99

Products are expected to launch at the end of September, and the company is currently talking to international distributors and UK retailers. The initial UK launch will be via a dedicated website.

Well Paws ceo Neil Yadolahi is a former professional footballer with Burnley FC. He told PBW News: “Most supplements currently are in tablet form and pets choose not to eat them unless they are heavily disguised. We are looking to innovate and improve the category.”

He added: “We take pride in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products and each line adheres to rigorous certifications, including GMP, FDA and ISO compliance standards. This means healthier pets and happier humans.

“We are approaching the market with a ‘family and loving’ ethos, ensuring that each product is developed to care for pets as cherished family members – which they are.”
