OdourLock MaxCare, a health monitoring cat litter from Intersand, has been introduced to the UK market by BSB Products.
The premium litter is supplied with diagnostic Blücare granules that turn from white to blue when in contact with blood or glucose in urine, helping to alert cat owners to common health conditions such as diabetes and urinary diseases.
Each 12kg bag of OdourLock MaxCare comes with a sachet of Blücare granules and a QR code link to the OdourLock website. Users sprinkle the granules evenly over the surface of the litter and, once the cat has used the litter, owners remove the clumps as normal and inspect for any sign of blue granules. Evidence of the granules having turned dark blue is a signal for owners to visit a veterinary professional, and a visual guide on the website will help customers determine the results.
The litter also has ammonia-blocking properties to neutralise odours and is dust-free.
