Hownd has launched a new range of plant-based functional treats designed to improve pet wellbeing.

The soft-baked Wellness Treats are available in five styles – Golden Oldies with phytodroitin, glucosamine and sunflower hearts for joint mobility; Got an Itch? with shiitake mushrooms and turmeric for healthy skin and coat; Yup You Stink! with mint, parsley and lovage herbs to tackle smelly breath; Keep Calm with camomile, lavender and valerian root for stress relief; and Playful Pup with fresh bananas and marine algae for puppies and small breeds.

Hownd Wellness Treats for dogs are hand-baked in biomass wood-fired ovens, are 100% plant-based and hypoallergenic, and are accredited by the Vegetarian (Vegan) Society, PETA Not Tested on Animals, and the Ethical Company Organisation. The brand has sourced a vegan alternative to commercially-produced chondoritin for joint support, and is the first to include the phytodroitin supplement in its treat range, says the company.

Supplied in 100g recyclable pouches, the RRP is £2.95 per pack.

Co-founder and product director Jo Amit said: “We are committed to the well-being of all animals, and our new range of wellness treats reflects our dedication to providing dogs with the highest quality products that address their specific needs.

“We believe that by combining natural ingredients with irresistible flavours, we can enhance the overall health and happiness of dogs everywhere.”

The new treats will be available to view at the PATS Telford show on October 1-2, 2023, stand F78.
