A farmer took her pony to the dentist – in the boot of her car!

Emily-Jane Donaldson managed to get the Shetland pony into the back of her vehicle after one of the pony’s teeth was broken.

Passing motorists looked twice as Emily-Jane drove the Shetland pony eight miles from Stenness to Orkney, Scotland, to have the broken tooth extracted, reported the Daily Record.

Emily-Jane said: “Ruby’s 18 years old and she stands about 22ins tall. She’s one of the smallest Shetland ponies in Britain but, because she has dwarfism, she isn’t recognised as equine – so she’s a little bit special.”
