A team from a pet insurance company took part in a tough, three-day, 510-mile Extra Mile Challenge cycle challenge.
Team Agria rode in relay across the French route for their four chosen charities – Dogs for Good in Association with Stocklake Park School (MASKS), Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, Medical Detection Dogs and Pets as Therapy.
This is the fifth year Agria has entered teams into the event, and with four Agria teams taking part, 2017 was the biggest year yet.
A spokesman said: “All Agria cyclists did exceptionally well, especially as three of the four teams were one member down. Even so, Simon Wheeler’s (Agria’s MD) team led the pack throughout much of the event, despite the challenge of total ride elevations exceeding a very steep 26,000 feet.”
Simon said: “Brittany is not as flat as we thought! It has been a challenging, but immensely satisfying, three days of cycling thanks to our tough team members and the incredible boost we all felt from riding in support of such life-changing charities.”
The team has set a target of £5,000. To sponsor, you can donate at
